Dreaming and The Power of Goal Setting and Planning

This week, I have read and watched many things pertaining to dreaming and setting goals. One man in particular, Randy Pausch, talked about how he had achieved many of his childhood dreams because he never let them go. I feel that I never had any big "dreams" as he did growing up, but I have had a lot of desires and things I wanted to accomplish that have come to me over my short 20 years of life. After watching his video and reading multiple articles and other sources this week, I have decided that the way to achieve those dreams and desires is to set goals, and make correlating plans to accomplish them. Recently, I have tried to figure out what I want my life to look like. I have tried to gain a vision of what I want to have accomplished by the end of this mortal journey I am on. The Value of Healthy Relationships

September 15, 2020 One lesson that I have learned over the past week is the importance of healthy relationships in my life.  I have witnessed recently, in my life and in the lives of people very close to me, that nothing can function at its full capacity in our lives if we don't prioritize our loved ones before any and all worldly endeavors. The pain, worry, and heartache that come from disappointing a loved one, for me, is debilitating. I often struggle to sleep, eat healthy, exercise, and work hard when I am preoccupied by worry and stress concerning the status of my relationships. I have seen businesses begin to fail because those running them have lost sight of the importance of their relationships with God, their spouse, their children, and other important people in their lives. Simply put, we cannot experience true joy and success when we prioritize our search for that success over strengthening relationships with loved ones.
