Keywords and Business Models
To be completely blunt and honest, this week has been extremely challenging and frustrating at times. In each of my classes, I have been thrown in to the deep end and expected to swim. I know that this is the best way to learn, but I have been very overwhelmed with that happening in every one of my classes within a 5-day period. However, I can feel myself getting stronger and learning more. In Web Business Creation, I have learned a lot about the Keywords tool in Google Ads. It is such a cool tool that will help me so much in choosing a business! We have been working on a case study where a group is trying to figure out what product and business model to use for their new online business, and using that study I have been able to figure out how I can go about selecting a business of my own. I know that I want to choose something that has low/medium competition with a high number of impressions and a low Cost per Click (CPC). With a product that meets each of these standards, I will be able to create a good business that will hopefully do well in a less-saturated market. I am still trying to figure out exactly what I will do, but I know that Keywords will be an important tool. I also learned about many types of business models that can be used online. I had no idea that there were so many! I personally want to focus on either the affiliate model or the ad model for this class because I don't have a lot of money to put into any kind of inventory at the moment. Low starting costs are my friend right now! Those are the two main things I learned this week that are helping me start the planning of my own business.
